I grew up in Ténès, which is why it will always hold a special place in my heart; let me tell you a little about it in words and pictures.

Ténès, is a port city and a commune of the wilaya of Chlef in Algeria. It is located 52 km north of Chlef, capital of the wilaya.

Former Phoenician trading post, the current city is composed of two parts, the modern city built initially on the site of the Roman city and the medina, called Old Ténès or Ténès Lahdar, founded in the ninth century by Andalusians, it houses the mosque Sidi Maïza, one of the oldest mosques in Algeria.
